Services · MVPs in weeks

A launchable first version in weeks, not the six-month surprise.

Ship a skateboard first, not a car in pieces. We build the smallest version real customers will use and pay for, with sign-in, payments, an admin screen and real data, then improve it every week.

The skateboard rule

A wheel isn’t a product. A skateboard is.

Traditional projects build in layers: the database this quarter, the back end the next, the screens last. Nothing is usable until everything is done.

We build in slices. Each slice goes from screen to database and can be used on its own. The first one ships in weeks; each one after it makes the product better, rather than finally making it work.

Ask for a way to get across town and the layered approach gives you a wheel in month one, a chassis in month three and a car in month nine. The slice approach gives you a skateboard in week three, a bike in week eight, and you’re moving the whole time.

Illustrative. In the AI-first plan, testing runs the whole time rather than at the end, and releases continue every week after launch.

A typical eight-week MVP

What happens, week by week.

1

Week 1: spec and prototype

The prototype sprint: a clickable app, a written spec and the list of what’s in and what waits.

2–3

Weeks 2–3: the first real slice

Sign-in, the core screen and the database behind it, deployed to a test environment you can use.

4–5

Weeks 4–5: the money and the admin

Payments, emails, roles and an admin screen, because a product you can’t run isn’t a product.

6–7

Weeks 6–7: hardening

Security review, error handling, performance and the automated checks that guard the rules of your product.

8

Week 8: launch

Production, monitoring and a runbook. Then weekly releases from your feedback.

Included as standard

The parts other MVPs leave for “later”.

Security from day one

Sign-in, roles and data separated by customer, checked by automated tests on every change.

Payments that work

Subscriptions, trials and invoices with a payment provider, tested end to end before launch.

Tests that guard the rules

Agents write tests alongside the code, so the rules of your product are checked every time, not remembered.

Monitoring

You see errors, usage and AI costs before customers have to tell you.

Docs and runbooks

How to deploy, how to roll back, what each part does. No bus factor of one.

Weekly releases

Small, tested changes every week after launch, so version 2 is not a whole new project.

Cost

The same first version, at a fraction of the cost.

Traditional MVP

≈ $500,000

8 people for 5 months.

vs

AI-first MVP

≈ $80,000

3 senior people for 2 months, plus AI tools.

Illustrative MVP. Assumes a blended $12,500 per person-month for both teams. Traditional: 8 people for 5 months. AI-first: 3 senior people for 2 months, plus about $5,000 of AI tools and compute.
