Thrive CRM

The agent and signals

Two places in Thrive tell you which relationships need attention: the Agent, which you run, and Signals, rules you set that are checked every time you look.

The agent

Thrive → Agent → Start a run (or + New run). The run starts within a minute and finishes on its own; the page follows it, and you can close the tab. One run at a time per account.

It looks over the account's records and lists each one that needs attention, with the reason:

  • someone who wrote to you, and nobody has replied for three days;
  • an open deal nothing has happened to for two weeks;
  • a contact from Lead Generation in the last 30 days with nothing recorded about them;
  • a meeting in the last week with nothing written on the contact since.

Click a contact's name to open it. The agent only reads dates, so a run costs nothing, and it changes nothing: it never sends anything, moves a deal, changes a value, deletes a record or marks anyone do-not-contact.

Runs are for account owners and admins: only they can start one or see what a run found, because a run reads every record in the account. The account must have AI credit; without it, the run does not start and says why. Members see the records that need them on Today, under Needs you.

Signals

Thrive → Signals → New rule (account owners and admins). Choose a Condition, a Threshold where it has one, a Severity (high, warn or info), and whether it is Enabled, then press Save rule.

Open deal has not moved stage in N days14 days to start with.
Open deal is past its expected close dateWith a number of days' grace.
Open deal has no next step written downNo threshold.
Open deal has nobody assigned to itNo threshold.
Contact has not been touched in N days60 days to start with.
Contact is not linked to any projectNo threshold.

Rules are checked against the real records each time you open Signals or Today, and each rule lists the records it matched. Matches show on Today under Needs you. Rules are shared by everyone in the account, so only account owners and admins can add, change or delete one; members see the rules and their own matches, and the page says who to ask. Each person sees only the matches they are allowed to see.
