Outreach: an email reviewed before it goes
Outreach is an email to a contact that someone checks before it goes. It is reviewed in a project's Beacon, then you send it from your own mailbox.
- On a contact, press Outreach (or open the Outreach tab and press + Draft outreach).
- Choose the Project it goes out under. A project the contact is linked to is chosen for you.
- Write the Subject and the Email. Or type what it is for — "ask for a 20-minute call" — and press Draft it for me: Odin writes it from what Thrive knows about them and lists the facts it used. That uses AI credit, shown in your usage as Thrive — drafting an outreach email.
- Press Save draft, then Submit for approval. It appears in that project's Beacon → Approvals and goes through the project's own approval chain. A project with no approval chain approves it straight away.
- If a reviewer asks for changes, their note shows on the email. Press Edit, change it, save, and submit again. Any change, even after approval, sends it back to a draft.
- When it says Approved — ready to send, press Send. It leaves from your own mailbox and appears on the contact's Emails tab.
Withdraw takes it out of review; it can then never be sent. Only you see your outreach in Thrive; the project's reviewers see it in Beacon.
Approving never sends anything — only you do, once. Nothing goes to someone marked do-not-contact or opted out of email, even if that changed after it was approved. If your mail server does not confirm the send, the email says May have been sent — check your Sent folder, and Thrive does not send it again.
Sending needs a connected mailbox, and drafting needs a project you belong to. Your mailbox and the Inbox
Speak instead of typing. The boxes here that the AI reads have a microphone beside them: press it, talk, and pause; the text lands in the box for you to check. Speaking instead of typing
