Video Studio

The creative library

Video Studio comes with a library of ready-made pieces: templates, transitions, caption styles, graphics, a brand pack made from your Brand Kit, thirty animations and public-domain stock photos. Everything in it is included and costs nothing to use, and everything you see in the preview is what the exported video shows. Stock video, music, sound effects and pictures from Storyblocks, and public-domain photos, are found in the Media Browser; see Stock media from Storyblocks below.

In the editor, open Library in the left panel.

Templates

A template gives a video a proven shape and look. There are six, and each works in all three shapes (9:16, 1:1 and 16:9):

Product launchTease, Reveal, Why it matters, How it works, Get it. Punchy transitions, Bold pop captions, an urgent voice.
ExplainerThe problem, The idea, three steps, The result. Clean wipes, Clean captions, a calm voice.
TestimonialBefore, The moment, What changed, Proof, Invitation. Soft dissolves, a Subtitle bar, a warm voice.
Course trailerWho it's for, You'll learn, Inside, After, Enrol. Rise captions.
Event promoThe hook, What, When & where, Why go, Book. Headline captions, an urgent voice.
Social adHook, Benefit, Proof, Offer. Fast transitions, Karaoke captions, an urgent voice.

Before the script is written: on Make a video, press 🧩 No template and choose one. The AI writes its scenes in the template's order, still from your brief and your project's own material, and the video starts with the template's transitions, camera, caption style and voice. It also gets a small label on the first scene (such as NEW or SAVE THE DATE) and a button on the last with a call to action the AI writes for your video. Both are ordinary layers you can edit or delete.

On a video you already have: in Library → Template look, choose a template to give the video its transitions, camera, caption style and voice. The words, scenes and layers are left as they are. Undo puts the old look back.

Transitions

Twenty ways for a scene to come in from the one before: Fade, Dissolve, Fade to black, Flash, Slide (to the left), Slide right, Slide up, Slide down, Wipe left, Wipe right, Wipe up, Wipe down, Soft wipe, Circle open, Circle close, Barn door, Clock wipe, Zoom, Pixelate and Whip, or Cut for none.

In Library → Transitions, choose This scene or Every scene, then a transition. A scene's own properties offer the same list under Transition in. A transition takes half a second, less on a very short scene. The first scene always opens on a cut, because nothing comes before it. More on scenes

Caption styles

With 💬 Captions on, each scene shows the start of its line as a caption. Library → Caption style chooses how it looks:

ClassicCapitals, the first words in yellow.
Bold popBig outlined capitals that pop in word by word.
KaraokeEach word lights up in turn as the scene plays.
Subtitle barA plain sentence on a dark band.
CleanSentence case in white, nothing else.
Brand highlightThe first words in your Brand Kit colour.
OutlineWhite capitals with a black outline, readable over any footage.
NeonGlowing in your Brand Kit colour.
TypewriterTyped out letter by letter.
RiseWords rise into place.
HeadlineTall capitals at the top of the frame.
MarkerHand-lettered in brush marker.

Choosing a style turns captions on. One style applies to the whole video.

Graphics

Library → Graphics adds a ready-made design as ordinary layers you can then move, resize and retype: Cinematic bars and Frame (for the whole video), and Corner marks, Callout, Label, Call-to-action button, Big number, Quote card, Highlight band and Divider (for four seconds at the playhead). Colours marked as your brand colour follow the Brand Kit.

Brand pack

Made from your Brand Kit's colour, font and logo, and the project's name:

Intro cardYour name, and logo, on a brand-colour card at the start. Everything else in the video moves later to make room.
Outro cardYour name and a closing line at the end.
Lower thirdA name and title bar in your colours, at the playhead, for four seconds. Type the name and title in Properties.
WatermarkYour logo in the bottom-right corner of every frame, slightly see-through. Without a logo, the project's name is used instead.

The logo is the project's Brand Kit logo, the same for everyone on the project. Upload one in the Brand Kit, or press Choose logo… under Logo in the brand pack and pick a picture in the Media Browser, which sets it as the Brand Kit's logo for the whole project. Remove goes back to the project's name.

Music and sound effects

The Library tab also has the video's music (Now playing, with Change music…), Browse sound effects, and the sound On every cut. Each opens the Media Browser, where you can listen, choose and ✦ Make music with AI. Sound & voiceover

Animations

Thirty ready-made animations are in Effects → Motion → Presets: twenty for text and ten for pictures and clips. Select a layer first. Movement & looks

Finding things in Media

The editor's Media tab shows what this video uses and the newest files in the project; drag one onto a lane, or click it to place it at the playhead. Its search field, ▦ Browse media and the Media page in the rail open the Media Browser, which lists every file in the project with its kind and source, and can filter by kind, by AI shots only or My uploads only, and by source (uploads, AI-made, stock already brought in; on the Media page this narrows the 200 files shown at a time). Anything in Media can be used again in any video in the project: on the timeline, as a scene's picture, or as a reference or start picture for an AI shot.

To take something Video Studio made or brought in out of Media, tick it on the Media page and press Take out of the library. Videos that already use it keep it. Files you uploaded are removed in Data Management instead.

VeraGen library pictures

The Media Browser also lists pictures, cut-outs and icons that VeraGen made with AI: Photos shows the pictures, Graphics the Cut-outs and Icons, and the VeraGen library filter picks a category. Transparent ones sit on a checkerboard. They are not charged for. Placing one adds it to Media as a reference to VeraGen's shared file, once, and needs the Publisher role or above. They are AI-generated, so say so when you publish a video that uses one.

Public-domain photos

In the Media Browser's Photos, press Also search public-domain photos, then Search public-domain photos. The results are public-domain photos (CC0 and the Public Domain Mark) from Flickr and Wikimedia Commons: they can be used in anything, including ads, with no attribution needed. Pick one and place it like any other picture; it is brought into the project and appears in Media as stock.

Bringing photos in needs the Publisher role or above. Public-domain photo search is shared across VeraGen and has a daily limit; when it is reached, it says so, and Storyblocks photos still work.

Stock media from Storyblocks

The Media Browser also searches Storyblocks, a library of licensed stock media: Video, Motion backgrounds (under Backgrounds), Photos, Vectors and Illustrations (under Graphics), Music and Sound effects. Filter by shape, length, Instrumental or With vocals for music, transparency, Storyblocks category, and order (Relevant, Trending, Newest, Most downloaded).

The results are Storyblocks' own watermarked previews. Hover over a clip to play it; press ▶ to listen to a track. Previewing brings nothing into the project.

Placing a pick brings the full, unwatermarked file into Media once and places it where you chose: a clip, motion background or picture at the playhead, on a scene or as an overlay; a music track as the video's music, running the whole video under the voice; a sound effect at the playhead on the Effects track, at the start of a scene, or on every cut.

Each item is brought in once for your whole account. Adding it again, in this video or in any other project, uses the same file: a card marked In project is already in this project, and one marked In your account has already been brought in for another of your projects, so adding it downloads nothing new.

Pictures come in as PNG when Storyblocks offers one, which keeps a transparent background, and otherwise as JPG. Vectors and illustrations usually arrive as JPG, which has a solid background (normally white). The transparency filter narrows the search to items Storyblocks describes as transparent, but the file that comes in can still be a JPG with a background, so look at it in your scene after adding it. An item Storyblocks offers only in formats a video cannot use (such as EPS) says so and cannot be picked.

Adding stock media needs the Publisher role or above; anyone on the project can search and preview. The browser carries the line Stock media from Storyblocks under Storyblocks results and at the top of the results. If it says stock media is not set up, it has not been switched on for your workspace yet; your own media, the VeraGen library and the public-domain photos still work.
